1) Mary R. (McCartney) Storey (November 16, 1810 - March 1896)
(Four generations: Front left -- Grace Ireland, Mary R. (McCartney) Storey; Back left --Vienna Cass Ireland, Margaret Ann (Storey) Cass ca 1883-84)

Mary, the oldest of Robert and Lydia's children, was born in Bedford Co., PA (source: McCartney family bible) and married Reuben R. Storey September 24, 1838 in Marion Co., OH (Marion, OH Public Library, Marriage Index, Vol. 2, p. 126). Mary and her husband remained in Iberia, OH and did not travel on to Iowa with other family members (Historical Collections of Ohio in Two Volumes: An Encyclopedia of the State by Henry Howe, Vol. II. Cincinnati, Ohio: C.J. Krehbiel & Co., 1902 (pg. 319-321). Mary and Reuben's four children were Margaret Ann born in Iberia April 24, 1839 married Samuel Dixon Cass; Mary Lavina born July 10, 1840 married George Hill; Leonidas T. born April 1849 married (1) Phebe C. and (2) Frances M.; and Alfred Francis born November 1853 married Emma Adelaide Perkins. Brothers Leonidas T. and Alfred F. and their families moved on to Ramsey County, MN where they settled until their death.

Mary Lavina Storey and her husband George Hill's five children were James Leroy born November 10, 1860 married Ann ???; Eva May born August 11, 1862 married Robert Chalmers Blayney; Envela G. born August 28, 1864; Mary Etta born October 2, 1865 married Emmanuel Wesley Schreck; and Sierra Nevada born November 26, 1870 married William Vinton Blayney.

Alfred Francis Storey and his wife Emma Adelaide Perkins' two children were Leonidas Perkins M. born November 1, 1879; and Benjamin Morse born May 7, 1885 married Ruth F. It is interesting to note that Alfred and Emma's son Benjamin, was the first of five successive generations of Benjamin's descendants to be named as "Benjamin Morse Storey", all residing in Ramsey County, MN.
